We know. Adjusting back after vacation/summer is tough. All you want to do is continue to lie out in the sun and get your tan on. It is quite easy to fall into the trap of being lazy when you get back to the daily grind. Here are some helpful tips and tricks to get you back to your hardworking self!
1.) Make time for an adjustment day
Whether it is the time difference between your home and your vacation spot, or just catching up on your work load, bills, or even unpacking, it is important to find a day to unwind to help you get back to the swing of things.
If it’s a time zone difference, it is wise to have a couple of days to get your internal clock back to normal. For catching up on work, bills, or unpacking, it should take you up to a day or two to do.
2.) Stay in a vacation/summer mindset
Take your time with things when you get back from vacation. Do not try to cram everything all together. Take mental breaks and relax when you can.
3.) Keep vacation/summer memories alive
Just because your trip is over doesn’t mean the memories are too. You should bring back souvenirs and pictures that you can display and make you relive your fun times. They make for great conversation too that you can tell over and over.
4.) Keep in mind of your next trip
Look forward to your next adventure. It is not only about the destination from when you land, but the anticipation from the journey leading up to it. Even if it isn’t a trip, just your next event is exciting to be waiting for!
