You can have a great day starting from the moment you wake up whether you commute to work, get the kids ready for school, or just feel stressed the second you hear that alarm. The key to knowing how to have a happy, productive morning is dependent on maintaining a positive outlook. At times, we don’t give ourselves enough credit, there should ALWAYS be me-time fit into your schedule. Keeping or having a schedule, in general, is an automatic stress reliever because you already know what the day brings.
The key things needed to have a happy, productive morning:
Create a schedule or list of goals for the day
It is understandable that some people just cannot keep up with a schedule, but knowing you have goals gives you something to look forward to achieving.
Exercise in the morning
Waking up and immediately getting your body moving helps motivate you to begin the day off strong! By exercising at the start of your day, you won’t think about how you have to drag yourself to the gym after work.
Spread kindness around like confetti
Whether you have heard of that expression or not, making someone else’s day brings joy to yours as well. It goes with the whole bouncing positivity off each other similar to how brainstorming ideas brings people together!
Take a shower
Wake your body up with automatic relaxation. According to the National Institutes of Health, a warm shower will not only calm you immediately, but it acts as a distraction for your brain and helps increase dopamine flow in the brain which leads to an explosion of new ideas. A cold shower may help circulation and reduce stress and can be used as an antidepressant.
Doing these small simple tasks can make a huge impact on your life, specifically your outlook on life in general. The more composure you feel, the more you are able to think rationally and avoid careless mistakes.
