Traveling To The Turkey
Traveling to the actual feast is the most excruciating part. According to Lifehacker, the peak hour for the heaviest traffic will be the day (Wednesay) before Thanksgiving around 3PM-4PM. Too Many Cooks/No One in the Kitchen
Thanksgiving is the #1 holiday for home cooking fires with the top reason being the kitchen was left unattended. The National Fire Protection Association highly encourages you not to use a turkey fryer. If you do decide to use one, please use one outside and away from any home structures and people. Do not fry a turkey that has not been fully thawed and make sure the fryer is not overfilled with oil.
Another issue is having too many people helping in the kitchen. If you have any little helpers, designate a spot away from the oven or stove for them. If people are just conversating in the kitchen, it is best to ask them to go into the living space to avoid distractions.
Stuffed, But Not Over-Stuffed
On average, an adult on Thanksgiving consumes over 3,000 calories research by the Calorie Control Council shows. The CCC recommends that you scope out the buffet line of foods first then decide which ones you can go without or only have a little bit of. Don’t forget there is always dessert waiting in the fridge or oven! We understand that it is still a day of being stuffed, but not to the point where you’ll feel sick from overeating.
Black Hat Hackers/Friday & Cyber Fraud/Monday
It is best to update your computer to the latest anti-virus programs right before the online purchases on Black Friday weekend and Cyber Monday. Only shop on online secured websites. It is safest to never save your credit card information on any website or even on your browser.
